Overview
Manus is a general-purpose AI agent with a Mac desktop app (renamed Manus Studio with Manus 2.0). Its My Computer capability lets the agent read and edit your local files, launch apps, and run terminal commands inside folders you authorize, while longer jobs keep running in Manus's cloud. Every command asks for approval, either Allow Once or Always Allow, and access is limited to the folders you grant. Beyond your Mac, Manus connects to services such as Gmail, Notion, and Slack and can build web apps, slide decks, and images from a prompt. The desktop app supports Apple silicon Macs.
