Hashy
Open-source AI markdown editor with OpenRouter, iCloud sync, and Claude Code integration
Overview
Hashy is a native SwiftUI markdown editor for macOS and iOS with built-in AI chat powered by OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Anthropic. Bring your own API key and pick from models like Claude Opus 4.6, Sonnet 4.5, GPT-5.2, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Grok with no monthly fee or vendor lock-in. The AI doesn't just chat — 11 tools let it create, edit, search, and organize your notes as an autonomous assistant. Notes are stored as plain markdown files with YAML frontmatter in iCloud Drive, syncing seamlessly between Mac and iPhone with conflict detection. Hashy ships with a Claude Code skill so AI agents can read and write your vault directly from the terminal. Features include full-text search across your entire vault, tag-based filtering, keyboard shortcuts for everything, math rendering, and a keyboard accessory bar for quick formatting. Open source under the MIT license with no proprietary format or database lock-in.
