Dottie
Open-source voice agent that controls your Mac
Overview
Dottie is a free, open-source desktop agent for macOS that you control by voice or text. It uses on-device speech recognition and a built-in set of system tools to move files, open and control apps, read your screen, send email, and manage calendar events and reminders. Chat can use Dottie's hosted model, a local model through Ollama or Dottie Local, or your own xAI key, so you can keep everything on your Mac if you prefer. It runs a local gateway on your machine and asks for microphone and accessibility access on first launch. Requires an Apple silicon Mac on macOS 15.4 or later.
