Yap turns speech into text at the cursor. Hold Fn to speak and release it to insert the result, or use Fn+Space for a longer thought. Speech recognition, text cleanup and transcript history stay on the Mac; audio is not uploaded or saved. Initial model downloads, subscription activation and periodic license checks need internet. Offline license access lasts up to 24 hours after a successful check, capped by the trial or paid expiry.
