Valdis is a local-first AI companion for macOS and iOS with real-time voice chat, 3D avatars with lip-sync, and multi-model support. Talk to AI using on-device speech-to-text via WhisperKit with spoken replies through Apple Text-to-Speech. Interact with RealityKit-powered 3D avatars that animate as they speak. Connect to local models via Ollama or LM Studio, Apple Foundation Models, or cloud providers including OpenAI, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, and OpenRouter. Conversations sync between iPhone and Mac in real-time without iCloud. Features conversation memory with rolling summaries, image input from camera and files, and zero telemetry. Completely free with all features included.
