Overview
Typester is a lightweight menu bar application for macOS that enables speech-to-text dictation across any application using either Soniox or Deepgram as the backend provider. Dictate text by holding a configurable key or using a triple-tap toggle to start/stop recording. Features real-time streaming transcription with low latency, live subtitle overlay showing your transcription as you speak, support for 60+ languages, and secure API key storage in macOS Keychain. Open source and MIT licensed.
