Overview
TLiquid is a free, open-source menu-bar translator for macOS that uses large language models for high-quality translation. Select text in any app, press ⌘⇧T, and a Spotlight-style panel streams the translation in real time. It connects directly to your chosen AI provider — OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or OpenRouter — with no server proxying, and API keys are stored securely in the macOS Keychain. For fully offline translation, TLiquid supports local models through Ollama. One-click provider switching and keyboard-driven controls (Enter to copy and dismiss, Esc to cancel) keep translation fast and out of your way.
