Snip
AI-powered screenshot capture, annotation, and semantic search
Overview
Snip is an open-source macOS screenshot utility that captures, annotates, and organizes screenshots using on-device AI. An AI agent automatically categorizes, names, and tags each screenshot, while local embeddings enable semantic search so you can find any screenshot by describing its content. Features a rich annotation suite with shapes, arrows, text, blur, and AI-powered object segmentation. Runs entirely on-device via Ollama with zero data sent to the cloud.
Minimum macOS: 14.0 (Sonoma)
