Overview

PingMeBud is a macOS app that monitors your meeting audio in real time and alerts you when specific keywords or phrases are mentioned. Using OpenAI's Whisper model running locally on Apple Silicon's Neural Engine, it transcribes meeting audio on-device and watches for your configured keywords — sending native macOS notifications and full-screen red border alerts when triggered. It captures system-level audio so it works even with muted speakers, supports wildcard matching for flexible keyword patterns, and never records or stores your audio. All data exists only in RAM and is permanently deleted when the session ends.
