OpenTeleprompter

Free, open-source voice-activated teleprompter for the MacBook notch

Free Utilities Open Source

Overview

OpenTeleprompter is an open-source teleprompter that sits in the MacBook notch to keep your script aligned with the camera for natural eye contact. It detects human speech frequencies (85–3400 Hz) from your microphone input to scroll the script as you speak, filtering out background noise and other meeting participants. A classic floating mode works on non-notch Macs and external monitors. Built with Rust and Tauri v2, it uses just 40 MB of RAM and stays invisible during screen shares and recordings.

Minimum macOS: 13.0 (Ventura)
