Halo
Your Mac's quiet companion — private, on-device AI in the notch
Overview
Halo is a private, local-first AI companion that lives in your Mac's notch. Press ⌘⇧M or say "Hey Halo" to talk anywhere, get Tab-to-accept ghost-text autocomplete in any app, and record any call so it writes itself up with speaker names and a clean summary the moment you hang up. Its on-device brain keeps an ambient memory of your screen and calls, so it can proactively nudge you with context — a draft ready to send, a meeting that moved — while everything it sees and hears stays on your machine. An optional Halo Cloud subscription adds a frontier model for long chats and big summaries, or a lifetime license points Halo at your own Ollama, LM Studio, or OpenAI-compatible server.
