Hermes Agent
Open-source persistent AI agent that grows with you across every channel
Overview
Hermes Agent is an open-source desktop AI agent from Nous Research that lives across the communication channels you already use — Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, Email, and CLI — while keeping unified memory and context. It learns from your projects and problem-solving, schedules and automates tasks through natural language, and delegates work to subagents that run in isolated conversations and execution environments. Hermes can browse and search the web, see with vision, generate images, and speak with text-to-speech, and it executes work safely across multiple sandbox backends (local, Docker, SSH, Singularity, Modal). Paid tiers add monthly model-usage credits with access to 300+ models, but the app itself is MIT-licensed and free to self-host.
