Overview
Grok Bot is xAI's desktop app for creating persistent, named AI teammates that do real work on your behalf. Each Bot runs on a shared cloud VM with its own browser, filesystem, and terminal, so it can sign into apps and websites the way you do — including tools with no clean API — and finish jobs in the real systems rather than handing back chat drafts. You message a Bot like a colleague, give it a job description, and it works while you are offline, returning only when something needs approval. Multiple Bots run in parallel on the same computer, message each other, share context in group chats, and hand off tasks between themselves. Bots learn workflows by watching you do them once, save them as skills or scheduled routines, and keep memory, files, browser sessions, and preferences across turns. Available for macOS and iOS in beta.
