Overview
Chatable is an AI-native macOS database client that lets you query PostgreSQL and MySQL by asking questions in plain English instead of writing SQL. It reasons over your schema, builds and runs the query, then shows both the answer and the underlying rows alongside the generated SQL. Beyond chat it works as a full client, with schema browsing, editable result tables, and query history in a persistent workspace, and row edits are staged for review before they hit production. Bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key and pay the provider directly; connections run locally, credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain, and only your schema, question, and limited result context are sent to the model.
Pricing: $49 pre-order (first 100 customers, regular $99) | 2 Macs | 1 year of updates
Architecture: Apple Silicon, Intel
